ABOUT BEN

I’ve been obsessed with film for as long as I can remember. I grew up glued to the screen, completely drawn in by storytelling, visuals and music. That passion led me to study Film Studies at university, where I spent a lot of time immersed in everything from Alfred Hitchcock to offbeat indie cinema and unapologetically over-the-top 80s action films.
I’ve always loved the full spectrum. Even now, I’m just as happy rewatching episodes of Breaking Bad or Mad Men as I am discovering something new. Before I picked up a camera professionally, I worked as a primary school teacher London and Manchester.
Work with me
Filmmaking started as a hobby alongside teaching, but weddings quickly became the thing that clicked. There’s something powerful about capturing real stories and genuine moments as they unfold. It felt like the perfect way to combine everything I love about film with something meaningful and lasting.
Outside of work, I love good food (ridiculously sweet tooth!), live music, and anything with a bit of energy and atmosphere. Music has always been a huge part of my life playing the guitar in bands and going to gigs whenever I can. It definitely shapes how I edit and build the rhythm of my films. These days, a lot of my time is spent with my daughter, which has given me a whole new perspective on what it means to capture memories. It’s made me even more aware of how quickly moments pass, and how important it is to hold onto them.
