Filming Abbie and Alex’s wedding day at Styal Lodge was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was going to be a relaxed, happy day filled with great energy and lots of smiles.

Abbie and Alex are originally from Liverpool, and they brought that friendly, down-to-earth warmth with them to Cheshire. They were both so easy to be around, genuinely excited for the day ahead and keen to enjoy every moment. That kind of energy always makes a big difference when filming, and it showed throughout the entire day.

Styal Lodge is a brilliant wedding venue and one we always enjoy filming at. Set in the Cheshire countryside, it has a modern but cosy feel, with loads of natural light and plenty of space for guests to relax and celebrate. From a filming point of view, it offers so many great angles and backdrops, whether indoors or outside, and it worked perfectly for Abbie and Alex’s laid-back but stylish wedding.

The morning preparations were calm and full of laughter. Abbie was surrounded by a lovely group of people, and there was such a positive atmosphere as everyone got ready. Alex was just as upbeat, clearly excited to see Abbie and get the day started. Moments like these are some of our favourites to capture – the nerves, the anticipation, and the little interactions that often mean the most when looking back.

The ceremony itself was full of emotion but never felt overly formal. There were plenty of smiles, a few happy tears, and lots of proud looks from family and friends. Abbie and Alex were completely present in the moment, which made filming their reactions and expressions really natural and genuine.

As the day moved into the celebrations, the fun really kicked in. Guests were relaxed, chatty, and clearly ready to enjoy themselves. Being from Liverpool, Abbie and Alex’s friends and family brought great energy, and it made for some brilliant candid moments on camera. From laughs during conversations to people enjoying a drink in the sunshine, it all added to the story of the day.

Overall, Abbie and Alex’s wedding was a joy to film. They are a genuinely lovely couple, so friendly and upbeat, and it was clear how much they were loved by everyone there. Styal Lodge provided the perfect setting, and the whole day felt easy, happy, and full of good vibes.
